Presidents Chat

Welcome to all the players and parents of Applecross Junior Football Club (AJFC) to the 2011 football season!

Firstly, thanks to all the parents who have accepted a position on committee, in coaching and team management.

Applecross continues to have the fantastic support of many parents who do put in a lot of time and effort, before and during, each football season.

Our club’s primary goal for this year is to continue to create and foster a positive club environment so that all players are encouraged to enjoy their football through active participation and develop their football and life skills.

This year AJFC reaches an important milestone with this year being our 60th anniversary. Please mark in your diary Saturday the 27th August for our AJFC 60th Anniversary function which promises to be a important club celebration not to be missed.

Our club would not operate successfully without the continued support of our club sponsors. Thank you to all our generous club sponsors for 2011, please support our club sponsor’s businesses whenever you can. A full list of our current sponsors are on our website for your consideration.

Previous years focus and development on our Auskick programme continues to bear fruit with record numbers of Auskick participants for this year. Auskick participation is vitally important to the long term prosperity of the club and previous years effort have resulted in two teams being fielded in the 9’s for the upcoming season. Our club is well represented with participation in most junior grades with teams in the 9’s (2), 10’s, 12’s, 14’s and 15’s.

Finally, good luck to all our teams for a hugely enjoyable and successful season. Please support and assist our club where you can, as your assistance can really make a huge difference to those that work tiresomely within the club.
